Growing up in Northern California, both my father and grandfather were gold miners, and I cherished the time spent alongside my dad at the mine. This early exposure ignited a deep-seated passion for the industry. As I transitioned into adulthood, I followed in their footsteps, becoming an underground miner in Iowa, where I specialized in limestone extraction. Throughout my career, one principle has remained steadfast: mine safety.
